The customer's charge cannot process and shows an error that the payment method must be updated.
This issue can occur on all platforms.
Click Orders and select Charge errors to view charge errors in the merchant portal.
Update payment method errors indicate that there is an issue with the payment method provided and it cannot be used for the customer's subscription. The customer should log in and add a new payment method to resolve or cancel this subscription and checkout with a new one using a different payment method.
The customer can log in to their customer portal and use the Payment methods page to update their payment information on file as outlined in Instructions for your customers.
