Can I set different SKUs for the subscription version and one-time version of a product?

Yes. However, adding a different SKU than what is currently listed in your ecommerce platform is only possible for merchants using the Recharge Checkout on Shopify or BigCommerce.
SKU overrides allow you to specify a different SKU on your subscription product in Recharge than what is listed on the product in your ecommerce platform. When the order is submitted to your ecommerce platform, Recharge will submit this specified SKU regardless of what SKU is listed on the product in your ecommerce platform.
To apply a SKU override to your subscription product, use the bulk management tools to add a new SKU to Recharge. For instructions on completing a SKU override, review Method 2 - Bulk update SKUs and apply SKU override.
Warning: If you apply a SKU override, you will not be able to use the regenerate method for future updates. Future SKU updates will have to be completed using the bulk managing tools.
Note: While Shopify Checkout Integration merchants can add SKUs to Recharge using the bulk management tools, these SKUs are display-only as Shopify uses the SKU set on the product hosted within Shopify for subscription orders. If you would like to set the subscription version to a different SKU, you must create a standalone subscription product for that item using the new SKU.
