Discount codes are provided for many reasons. Here are some quick answers to get an understanding of what applies to your customer’s checkout experience.
The discount field is not showing at checkout
There must be at least one discount code created for the discount field to appear at checkout.
What happens if a customer enters an invalid discount code?
Customers see an error message if they enter a discount code that doesn't exist, isn't currently active, or cannot be applied to that specific channel.
Can customers use multiple discount codes on a single order?
- Recharge Checkout on Shopify
- Recharge Checkout on Big Commerce
- BigCommerce Checkout Integration
If you are using the Shopify Checkout Integration customers can apply multiple discount codes at checkout, however, once those checkout orders are processed Recharge will only apply one discount code to the customer's recurring orders.
Customers can only apply a single code per order. It is not possible to stack discount codes. For example, if the customer has a 10% off discount code applied to their cart, the customer cannot also use a "save $10" discount code on top of the existing code. To offer customers multiple discount codes, create a discount code for the value of the combined discounts.
