Recharge Loyalty rewards and benefits: Member pricing special use cases
Member pricing benefits can be customized further to meet specific business needs and use cases. These specific use cases include product-specific member pricing or products excluded from member pricing. This guide provides an overview of these special use cases and steps to set up each use case.
- Shopify Checkout Integration
Before you start
- This benefit is only available for stores with a Paid membership program.
- Adding member pricing to your storefront requires advanced knowledge of Shopify liquid and some basic knowledge of Ruby which is not supported by Recharge as per the design and integration policy. If you require further assistance from a developer, visit the Recharge Agency Partner Directory.
- This build is only available for Shopify Plus merchants because it utilizes the Shopify Script Editor.
- Apply changes to a duplicate copy of your current theme to avoid causing unforeseen issues with your live store.
Product specific member pricing
Configure your member pricing collection discounts to target specific product collections and offer exclusive discounts on those specific products.
Before setting up this use case, create a Recharge collection and add products you want to apply product-specific member pricing to. You can create multiple Recharge collections if you wish to apply product-specific member pricing to different collections.
- Start with using the standard instructions to configure a member pricing benefit and stop at Step 2.
- Click + Add collection discount, select your pre-configured product-specific collection(s), and click Next.
- Configure the one-time or subscription discount to reflect the discount you wish to offer.
- Click Add discount.
- Configure additional collection discounts as needed and click Save when finished.
The products in your product-specific collections will now apply their assigned collection member pricing benefit instead of the storewide configuration.
Product excluded from member pricing
Configure your member pricing collection discounts to exclude specific product collections from member pricing.
Before setting up this use case, create a Recharge collection and add products you want to exclude from member pricing.
- Start with using the standard instructions to configure a member pricing benefit and stop at Step 2.
- Click + Add collection discount, select your pre-configured collection(s) containing your excluded products, and click Next.
- Set the one-time discount to 0.
- Set the subscription discount to 0.
- Click Add discount.
By setting both the one-time and subscription discounts to 0 for this collection, the discount of 0 on these products overrides any storewide discount configurations you set previously.
