I operate in Eastern Australia time, how do I setup order processing to accommodate my time zone?
Order processing is generally handled in Eastern Time so merchants processing in East Australia Time are essentially processing on different days. For example, Saturday February 16 6:00PM ADST would be Friday, February 15th 7:00PM UTC. In this case, the charges dated the 15th would begin processing at 7PM UTC on the 15th which would be the 16th for the merchant in Australia and technically a day late.
As a workaround, Recharge suggests that you start processing charges after 5AM UTC and finish before 12PM UTC. This keeps processing times to the same day and ensures charges processed on the 15th at 5AM UTC would start on the 15th at 4PM ADST. If you want to set this specific processing time, contact the Recharge Support team.
You can also change the charge date to process a day before. In this case, a merchant who wanted charges processed at 6PM ADST on the 15th would need to set the customer's charge date to the 14th at 7PM UTC. The downside to this is that customers can see the charge date, which may create additional confusion. In this case, Recharge recommends customizing the Delivery Schedule text in Translations to communicate that to your customer.
