Cash Back on purchases allows you to offer cash-back promotions for your active subscribers.

Before you start
This article explains how to offer a cash-back promotion as a subscriber benefit. You can also offer a separate cash-back program without configuring a subscriber benefit program. See cash-back promotions for more information.
Create a cash back on purchases benefit
Create a cash-back promotion and add the active member tag to restrict your cash-back promotion to only your active subscribers. Ensure that a Subscriber benefits program has been created for your store to use the cash back on purchases subscriber benefit.
After your benefits program has been created:
- From the Subscriber benefits page, click Add reward or benefit.
- Click the dropdown and select Cash back on purchases.
- Copy the tag and click Go to my cash back promotions to add the active member tag to your promotion.
- Name the program and choose the type of cash back in the drop-down from percentage or fixed. Choose the reward amount.
- Paste your active subscriber tag into the Applies to section and set your active dates for the promotion.
- Set the status to Active to activate the cash-back promotion.
- Click Save to confirm changes.
Limitations
There are some limitations to consider when using cash back on purchases:
- The cash-back promotion benefit will not appear in the rewards and benefits list on the subscriber benefits program once it’s created.
- If the subscriber status of a customer changes to inactive, they will no longer earn cash back on new purchases, but any existing cash back balance will remain. At this time, funds do not expire when customers become inactive subscribers.
