Subscriber benefits program
Create a subscriber benefits program that allows you to offer rewards and benefits to active subscribers which incentivizes customers to subscribe to at least one product.

How it works
Offering rewards and benefits to customers incentivizes them to subscribe to at least one product while creating brand loyalty. When you've created the program, all existing active subscribers will be tagged as active members and will have access to the configured subscriber benefits.

Subscriber identification
Customers enrolled in your subscriber benefits program are easily identified in Shopify. Your benefit program will assign:
- A Shopify customer tag that is applied to active and inactive subscribers.

- A specific Shopify segment for active and inactive members. This makes it easier for you to leverage customer segmentation in your Shopify storefront.

Create a subscriber benefits program
To create a subscriber benefits program:
- In the merchant portal, click Loyalty, then select Subscriber benefits to create your program.

- Note that when creating a subscriber benefits program, the name and description are the only fields that can be updated as Shopify segments will automatically be updated to reflect any updates you make.

- From the Subscriber benefits page, you can add rewards and benefits by clicking Add reward or benefit.
- Choose the reward or benefit type by using the dropdown, and select Save to confirm.
Limitations
There are some limitations to consider when creating a subscriber benefits program:
- Stores only have a single subscriber benefits program.
- Customers can only have one active membership at a time and therefore cannot be an active member of a subscriber benefits program and a paid membership program at the same time. We recommend offering one type of program or the other.
- You will not be able to disable or delete the subscriber benefits program. You can disable the reward and benefit selected if you would no longer like to offer them to active subscribers
- Program images are not supported on subscriber benefits programs.
- Customer tags and order tag cannot be customized.
- You cannot specify which products are eligible for subscriber benefits. At this time, if a customer subscribes to any product, they are eligible for rewards and benefits.
- If you only have a subscriber benefits program (no paid membership program), disable Memberships under the navigation section of the Customer portal settings page.
- The memberships upsell widget is not supported on subscriber benefits programs.
- Subscriber benefit program members will not appear in the paid members list or paid membership analytics. Subscribers can be viewed in the active customers list.
