ReCharge offers multiple checkout platform options to best suit your business needs. Available features, and troubleshooting steps, may differ depending on your platform type.
It is important to know which platform you are using to ensure you're utilizing to the correct documentation, or to provide additional information when contacting support.
The platform type that is listed for your store will differ depending on the Order Management System (OMS) that you are using. There are four different platform types that you may use.

Available to merchants who use Shopify as their OMS and installed ReCharge before November 2nd, 2020.
You will also have access to the ReCharge Checkout if you installed and uninstalled the ReCharge app before November 2nd, 2020, and have since reinstalled the app.
Customers purchasing subscription products will have their initial order processed through the ReCharge Checkout.
The checkout process is completely separate from Shopify.

The checkout process is entirely customizable based on the work done by your developer.
Checkout orders for subscription products are processed via the ReCharge Checkout API.
Confirming your store's platform
- Navigate to your ReCharge admin.
- Select Store from the Settings (the wrench icon) drop-down menu.
- Confirm the Platform in use under the Account status section.
