For ReCharge to process subscriptions and vault credit cards, subscription products must be processed through the ReCharge checkout. The difference between the Shopify checkout and the ReCharge checkout is which payment processor will be handling the charges.
Identify the checkout
You can identify which checkout page is in use by checking the URL on the payment page.
If the cart contains any recurring subscription products, the URL should begin with checkout.rechargeapps.com.
When the cart contains only one-time products, it would go through Shopify checkout instead. The URL will read checkout.myshopify.com.
Why is the checkout showing products are out of stock when they are in stock?
This is normally a tell-tale sign that your cart is misdirecting to the Shopify checkout. If this occurs, please reach out to the ReCharge support team.
My customer went through the wrong checkout. What do I do?
If your subscriptions are going through the wrong checkout, let the ReCharge staff know and we can help troubleshoot why the customer was redirected through the Shopify checkout.
You can add customers manually to ReCharge in the event they went through the wrong checkout. For more information, visit Adding a customer to ReCharge who used the wrong checkout.
Can I use a custom domain at checkout?
A custom domain is possible if you are on the ReCharge Pro plan.
