Editing upcoming charge dates
You may need to adjust the charge dates on an upcoming order for a customer. This could be for an individual order or you may need to re-adjust all upcoming orders. This guide provides an overview of updating charge dates individually or in bulk.
Before you start
This guide provides instructions for orders that charge and ship at the same frequency. If you need to adjust the upcoming order dates for prepaid subscriptions, see Editing prepaid shipment dates.
Adjust order date for an upcoming order
- Click Customers in your merchant portal.
- Search and select the customer to open their account.
- On the subscription orders page, click See Details next to the Address ID.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find the upcoming charge.
- Click Change charge date to open the date picker.
- Select the new charge date and click Save Date.
Bulk adjusting the charge date within one account
You can also update the next charge date for multiple subscription orders within one address. This is not to be confused with bulk updating the next charge date, which can update orders for multiple customers and not just one address.
- Click Customers in your merchant portal.
- Search and select the customer to open their account.
- Under the Address ID, use the checkboxes to select which products need to have their charge date changed.
- After you have selected all of the products that you want to change the next charge date for, click Actions from the drop-down menu.
- Specify the next charge date in the pop-up window. Click Update.
Bulk update upcoming orders
If you need to update a batch of upcoming orders, you will need to reach out to the Recharge support team with a prepared CSV. Please note that you must have at least 50 orders to qualify for a bulk update.
- In your merchant portal, select Exports.
- Click Create export.
- Select the Charges - Queued CSV in the drop-down.
- Name your CSV, select the appropriate date range, and enter your email address to receive the CSV. Click Create export.
- In the downloaded CSV, remove any rows that do not require a charge date update.
- Add an additional column at the end of the CSV called NEW Charge Date. Enter the new charge date for each row that requires an update.
- Once finished, send a copy of the CSV to the Recharge support team. Please accommodate at least 5 business days for this bulk update to be completed.
