On the Shopify Checkout Integration, orders for both one-time and subscription products are processed through the Shopify Checkout.
Understand mixed carts
The Recharge definition of a mixed cart of goods is a collection of recurring items and non-recurring items. Recharge automatically recognizes the difference between the recurring items and non-recurring items. Subscriptions are configured in Recharge and all your non-recurring items are configured in your ecommerce platform. Customers can then add a subscription to their cart as well as non-recurring items and complete their purchase through the Recharge Checkout.
This process will work as long as you do not modify your checkout flow with custom code. If you do modify your code, make sure to run a test mixed cart order to ensure all app settings are working properly.
Refund mixed carts
If a customer has a mixed cart, all items will process through the Recharge Checkout. Any refunds for the order will need to be processed through Recharge as the transaction information does not exist on the ecommerce platform. For more information on processing refunds, visit Issuing a refund in Recharge.
