Zapier (rhymes with happier) empowers you to connect ReCharge with the other Zapier apps you use to run your business. Zapier thinks about software integrations in terms of triggers and actions. Activity in one app triggers a resulting action in another without you needing to do any work. Connecting two apps together is called making a zap.
Zapier lives in the middle, monitoring your triggers and initiating actions in whatever workflow you establish. You can sign up for a Zapier account for free.
Before you start
Zapier has a wide usage and we can recommend it for almost any setup and subscription model where you can potentially connect ReCharge with an app we do not have an integration with. This way this app can be used to bridge the gap needed when a certain solution requires it.
Step 1 - Add the ReCharge app to your Zapier account
- In Zapier, click Make a Zap.
- Under Choose a Trigger App, search for ReCharge.
- Choose the trigger you would like to use and click Continue.
- On the next page, click Connect an Account and enter your Shopify store URL (yourstorename.myshopify.com).
- Click Yes, Continue.
- You will be prompted to login to Shopify if you are not currently logged in. After logging in, click Install.
- Click Save + Continue.
Step 2 - Set up trigger options
On the next page, you will have the option to choose an order status.
You can choose from the following:
- Refunded
- Queued
- Success
- Error
If you do not want to specify a specific order status, click Continue and move to Step 3.
Step 3 - Test your zap
Be sure to go through the test process to ensure the trigger is working correctly. Zapier will pull in sample data from your ReCharge account to perform the test of the connection. Click Continue once you have selected your sample data.
Step 4 - Set up an action
Once tested, you'll need to set up the subsequent action that the trigger will activate. Click the prompt on the next page.
Similar to setting up a trigger, you will choose an Action app and the action that should take place based on the trigger you chose from ReCharge.
Step 5 - Enable your Zap
Once you have completed your action steps, you will be prompted to name your zap and enable it. Enter a name for your zap and then click the off switch to turn the zap on.
Common zaps
You can select a common zap by clicking Use this zap. You can also view this list of common zaps.
