Combining subscription orders
If an existing customer purchases an additional subscription at checkout, the subscription is added to their account under a separate Address ID. You can combine subscription orders into a single Address ID by using the Move address function. This guide provides an overview of combining subscription orders manually and in bulk.
Combine subscription orders
Refer to the following steps to combine subscription orders manually:
- Click the Customers tab in the merchant portal. Search and select a customer.
- From the Subscription details page, click Actions next to the subscription item you want to move and select Move address. Note that moving a subscription to a different address causes it to sync with the subscription frequency of the new address and may update the next order date.
- A pop-up window will appear where you can specify the new address that should be used. Select the address and click Update to confirm.
- If needed, update the next order date of the moved subscription.
For multi-currency users, note that subscriptions cannot be moved from one customer address to another if the presentment currencies are different. To change currencies, cancel the existing subscription and add a new subscription.
Combine subscription orders in bulk
Moving subscription orders can also be performed in bulk in the merchant portal, allowing you to move multiple orders from one address to a different address at the same time.
Refer to the following steps to combine subscriptions in bulk:
- Click the Customers tab in the merchant portal. Search and select a customer.
- From the Subscription details page, use the Product checkboxes to select all the products within one address that you want to move. Remove any products that don't need to be moved by unchecking the box next to each product.
- Select Move address from the Actions drop-down menu. The Actions menu displays the number of products that have been selected.
- A pop-up window will appear where you can specify which address to move the subscriptions to. Select the address and click Update to confirm changes.
- If needed, update the next order date of the moved subscription.
