Although the ReCharge checkout and Customer Portal are in English by default, you can make adjustments to the language to fit the rest of your Shopify site. You may also choose to customize certain text elements so they match your store's brand. This guide provides information on making adjustments to your language and verbiage on the ReCharge checkout and Storefront Customer Portal.
Access the Translation settings
- In the ReCharge Dashboard, click the wrench icon.
- Select Translation.
- The tabs on the following page will vary based on your eCommerce platform.
- All merchants have access to Customer portal settings.
- Merchants on Shopify using the ReCharge Checkout can also access Checkout language.
Each translation field expands, enabling you to translate or edit the fields into whatever text you desire. Once you've made your edits, don't forget to hit Save.

Checkout translations
The settings in Checkout are only available to Shopify merchants who installed ReCharge before November 2nd, 2020, and are using the ReCharge Checkout.

Customize the Cancellation Reasons
If you are looking to adjust the cancellation reasons presented to your customers, there are two possible locations.
To change the cancellation reasons:
- In the ReCharge Dashboard, click the wrench icon.
- Select Customer Portal.
- Under Cancellation and customer retention, you can modify the reasons by clicking on the gear icon.
To change the button text:
- In the ReCharge Dashboard, click the wrench icon.
- Select Translation.
- Click the Customer Portal tab.
- Unfurl the section called Cancellation with retention strategy.
- Edit the button text:
- Click Save when finished.
