You may need to add a new product, swap to a different product, or update the variants on a prepaid subscription for a customer. You can easily add or swap products or variants in the customer account in ReCharge. This guide provides an overview of how to change the products in a subscription.
Add a product
- In the ReCharge Dashboard, click on Customers.
- Search for the customer and open the account by clicking on the customer's name.
- On the main customer account page, click Add Product.
- Search and select the desired product and enter the subscription details.
- Confirm by clicking Add Product.
Change a product variant
- In the ReCharge Dashboard, click on Customers.
- Search for the customer and open the account by clicking on the customer's name.
- Click Actions next to the subscription product you wish to change and select Edit.
- Click Change product variant.
- Choose the new variant and click Save.
Swap a product
Rather than removing or canceling a product and adding a new product, you can use the swap option to switch to a different subscription product.
- In the ReCharge Dashboard, click on Customers.
- Search for the customer and open the account by clicking on the customer's name.
- Locate the product you wish to replace and click the Actions dropdown and select Swap.
- Search and click on the new product.
- Enter in the product details and click Swap Product.
Changing variants on a prepaid subscription
If you'd like to change the variant of upcoming shipments during a prepaid subscription cycle, the process is different than a standard product swap.
- In the ReCharge Dashboard, click on Customers.
- Search for the customer and open the account by clicking on the customer's name.
- Click See Details.
- Scroll down to the Charges section and locate the prepaid orders you want to modify. Prepaid orders will say Scheduled next to the date.
- Click Add Variant under each shipment order and select the new variant.
- Once the new variant is added, click the garbage can icon to remove the old variant from the shipment order.
