The ReCharge app is fully compatible with Shopify and not supported on other platforms. If you would like to use ReCharge with other sites, it will require use of the Shopify storefront or custom code. This guide provides an overview of compatibility and suggested workarounds.
Compatibility with Shopify
ReCharge integrates into the Shopify platform and requires the use of Liquid to create subscriptions products. When a customer makes a subscription purchase, parameters are passed to the cart page that signals that the product should be processed by the ReCharge checkout.
At this time, ReCharge only works with the Online Store sales channel on Shopify. Other sales channels — such as Facebook, point-of-sale, and Buy Button — are not currently compatible.
Compatibility with other sites
The ReCharge app will only work directly on your Shopify storefront. It does not integrate with sites like Facebook, WordPress, Squarespace, or other eCommerce sites.
If you would like for customers to be able to purchase subscription products from your Facebook page or your WordPress site, we recommend linking directly to your product page on Shopify. This will allow customers to navigate to your Shopify site where they may place their subscription orders correctly via the ReCharge checkout.
