Importing a migration CSV
Recharge has developed a migration tool to assist in making migrations much easier for merchants. Using this tool, you can validate and process your CSV file used in the migration process. This guide provides instructions on how to successfully go through the required steps.
Step 1 - Enable Bulk Actions
To enable this feature:
- In the merchant portal, click Apps and select Marketplace from the drop-down.
- Locate Bulk Actions by Recharge and click Request.
Step 2 - Upload your CSV file
Once the Bulk Actions tool is enabled, you can access the tool in the Installed tab in Apps.
Select Upload CSV to begin the process of adding your CSV to Recharge:
Within the pop-up window:
- Select Customer Migration. If migrating bundle contents after the customer migration is complete, select Bundle selections migration.
- Click Choose file to select the CSV that you would like to validate. You can also input your email address if you want to be notified when the upload has finished.
- Click Upload.
Step 3 - Validate data
Click Validate to proceed with the data validation.
The validation might take a few minutes to complete and if you have inputted your email address in the previous screen you will get an email confirmation when the process is finished.
Step 4 - Check for errors
If there are errors during the validation, you will see the number of errors listed under Validation status. To fix the errors, download a copy of the CSV and reference the Fixing migration errors guide with the errors contained.
You should repeat Step 3 until there are no errors shown in the Validation status column.
Step 5 - Import the migration file
When the file is successfully validated without errors, you can import the file into the Recharge system. Click the Process button to process the migration import.
Step 6 - Check the imported data
Follow the Post-migration checklist to check all of the imported data. And let us know if you spot any errors. The Bulk Actions tool will only create subscriptions. It does not override data already imported.
