Identify the Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration in your merchant portal
View your account settings
- In the merchant portal, click settings and select Store.
- Shopify Checkout Integration (m) is listed under Platform:
Set up your tax and shipping settings
Tax settings
Access your Tax settings in your merchant portal by clicking settings and selecting Taxes.
Shipping settings
Access your Shipping settings in your merchant portal by clicking settings and selecting Shipping.
Under Shipping setup, you can choose between getting all rates from Shopify or using the Recharge zones, rates and integrations for your recurring orders. If you only want to maintain your shipping rates in one place, we recommend using Get all rates from Shopify, which will use the shipping rates set up in Shopify. If you are frequently hitting the Shopify rate API limit on recurring orders, you can reduce the calls we make to Shopify by switching to Use Recharge zones, rates, and integrations.
Known limitations with the Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration
- Stores on the Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration have the same limitations as new Shopify Checkout Integration stores, and should only use apps and integrations that are compatible with the Shopify Checkout Integration.
- The Recharge Theme Engine is compatible with stores on the Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration on Novum version 4.0.1 and above.
- Additional customers cannot be manually added to Recharge after the conversion or migration, as new customers must go through the Shopify Checkout, as per Shopify's requirements.
- Shopify cannot move the customer payment data from one Shopify store to another. This means that migrations from one Shopify Checkout Integration store to another Shopify Checkout Integration store cannot be done. If this is something you would like to do, we recommend reaching out to Shopify's support team directly.
FAQ
Once my store is on the Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration, can I delete my auto-renew products in Shopify?
Yes. Once the store conversion or migration is complete, you can delete the hidden auto-renew duplicate versions of your products in Shopify. This is because the Shopify Checkout Integration does not use duplicate auto-renew products.
Can a customer add a new shipping address to their profile?
Similar to the Shopify Checkout Integration, customers cannot manually add a new shipping address to their customer portal with the Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration. However, if the customer goes through the checkout again with the same email and a different address, this will create a new address.
If a customer updates their address on the Shopify “My account” page, will it automatically be updated in Recharge?
Customers must update their address via the customer portal to ensure this change is reflected in Recharge. Merchants can also update a customer’s address within the Recharge admin:
- Click Customers and select the customer from your list or use the search bar.
- On the customer’s Subscription orders page, click See details next to the Address ID and then select Edit under their shipping address.
I am an existing merchant using the Recharge Checkout on Shopify. Can I test a Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration store on my existing store?
You cannot test the Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration on your existing Recharge Checkout store, as your store would have to be fully converted. It is recommended to convert a staging or development store from the Recharge Checkout on Shopify to the Shopify Checkout Integration, and then test the Migrated Shopify Checkout Integration from there. Reach out to the Recharge support team.
Why do subscription orders not show up in my Shopify sales reports when I filter for subscriptions only?
Shopify's Sales Reports have the ability to filter by order type, allowing merchants to compare subscriptions versus one-time orders. This feature is only compatible for merchants who are on the Shopify Checkout Integration. Shopify does not have access to store data processed through the Recharge Checkout, and cannot display subscription-only data to merchants who migrated to the Shopify Checkout Integration, or who use the Recharge Checkout on Shopify.
Merchants using Recharge Pro can use the Product SKU or Product Variant dashboard to filter orders by one-time products.
